Pros
You might get to work with nice people. Depends on the department. The annual picnic is pretty nice.
Cons
Everything else. Management, pto, salary and health benefits are all horrible. Even if you don't work at the hospital you have to use your pto for holidays. Even if the building closes or they send you home early for bad weather, it comes out of your pto. Premiums for health benefits are low but the deductible was so high that I avoided going to the doctor at all costs. You'd think that working for a hospital, they'd offer better benefits. Management doesn't care about their teams. It's all about numbers and the pay is on the lower end. Raises are a joke and advancement is slim to none. So many people walk around as if they're too good to speak or show any manners. And they try to bribe you for positive annual survey results. The CEO even comes around to personally ask if you gave positive scores and then hands out candy. Pretty ridiculous. Nice resume booster but if you have goals, you won't be there long before looking elsewhere.
