Pros

At Parts Town you truly are surrounded by people who have "unique enthusiasm." It's great to come into work and have people care about your growth professionally but also what's going on in your personal life. The core values are on the website but also plastered all over the office - there's lots of Parts Town Pride. The office is innovative (TV's everywhere, red walls, gym on-site, game room, standing desks, and an appreciation station). Parts Town sends a survey out several times a year to get employee feedback and seem to genuinely want to make changes for the better. Work life balance is good. Parts Town holds a ton of employee appreciation events throughout the year - Brookfield Zoo family trip, Chili Cook-off, Food Truck Days, Parts Town Olympics, I-Fly Indoor Skydiving. Employee's are encouraged to get involved in the community with the Helping Hands Committee. Overall, great atmosphere - no company is perfect but leaders are making strides to address employee concerns. It is a laid-back atmosphere where people work hard but have fun at the same time.

Cons

Collaborative office space - great for people who can work in a noisy/energetic atmosphere. Would be difficult for someone who wants to work alone all day. The benefits and training could use some improvement. The training various team by team and we could use some consistency. Some benefits are great (profit sharing bonus, time away, life insurance, employee events) others could use some improvement (medical insurance).

Best Company I've Worked At In Years!

Pros

Parts Town is a high energy, high growth business with great people who are passionate about what we do. We have great values (Integrity, Passion, Courage & Innovation) that most people can easily recite – and that’s because we live these values every day. We treat our customers and manufacturer partners with respect, make corrections when we are wrong, and are always trying to improve. Work life balance is good. Benefits are good but not great. Paid time off is adequate to start and generous once you’ve been here a few years. Overall, this is a company that demands a lot, but if you’ve got energy and passion for improvement and growth, this is a great place to be!

Cons

The office can be noisy at times with so many people in a concentrated space all talking on the phone to customers all day long. Also, training could be improved – not necessarily the initial orientation training, but it would be good to have more “refresher” courses available to new (and “old”) team members. Once people have been here a while, they will have a much better idea of what they really need to know and what they don’t know but need to.

Pros

Steve Snower and team have built an awesome company with a great culture – a hidden gem in the American corporate landscape. As the CEO, Steve lives and breathes the company’s values of integrity and safety every day, he deeply cares about the people at Parts Town. As a company, Parts Town has a great reputation with customers and suppliers – PT focuses on great customer service (I love the “3 rings or less” policy – where else is this happening today?), continuous innovation, and killer logistics. Parts Town is in the process of expanding into other markets (product and geography), so I think there is plenty of growth left. I left parts Town for personal reasons, I live in the PNW and not wanting to move while my son is in high school. I would recommend Parts Town to anybody.

Cons

None that I can think of
