Pros

There were some employee appreciation initiatives that i haven't seen elsewhere, like quarterly parties, holiday decorating contests... Their training is also really great- you step into the job prepared. Despite the cons, there are friendly people if you know how to be outgoing. It was a good job for having just graduated from college and getting some experience, but not a place I could see someone with real ambition staying at for very long.

Cons

There is absolutely no way to advance at this place unless you never ever take a day off or a sick day, bend over backwards and kiss up to every manager that crosses your path. You need to be friends with the right people to be successful here, otherwise you're just another cog in a machine that doesn't care who you are.

Good afternoon. Although we would love for every review to be positive, realistically, we are aware that is not possible. Furthermore, these types of reviews allow us to research and investigate, so that we can work to grow and improve things that are within our control. Please allow us to preface our response by thanking you for utilizing Glassdoor to share your perspectives. We appreciate hearing from you. I respectfully disagree with your comment regarding using your PTO. A big part of our culture is encouraging employees to work towards striking some type of balance between work and personal life. We are all well aware of the challenges with balancing so many responsibilities in life, and to be transparent, it's something everyone struggles with to some degree. We do offer an Employee Assistance Plan (free to all employees) to help with these types of stressors. Additionally, I would like to politely address the remark regarding the night shifts. To be fair and objective, we make all shift decisions based on work performance. At consistent points throughout the year, the leadership team reviews performance metrics, and the employees that have the strongest work performance get the first selection of shift preference. This is an objective mechanism for rewarding employees solely on work performance, while also giving all employees feedback on what they can do to have more favorable shift selection opportunities in the future. The comments in your last sentence are concerning, as we work very diligently to create a culture of teamwork and collaboration. We must work together to be successful- no one can make the organization successful by themselves. Having said all of this, thank you again for sharing your perspective and connecting with us. We wish you all the best going forward. Take care.

Hello. Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and share your voice. We value your opinions. One of Percepta’s core beliefs is to promote from within whenever possible. We view each employee as an investment to our organization. Therefore, whenever we are able to promote from within and groom existing talent, that is the first option that we consider. All of our external job advertisements are also posted internally, and Human Resources meets with employees upon request to discuss career pathing. We also maintain an extensive catalog of e-learning courses for employees who would like to continue their development and take ownership of growing their skills. Additionally, because we strongly encourage our employees to stay abreast of current trends in their chosen field and to continuously learn and develop new skills, we over a generous tuition reimbursement arrangement to our employees after they have six months of service with us. Lastly, our annual performance appraisal practice gives all employees an opportunity to take ownership in their career trajectory and to partner with the leadership team to establish learning objectives.
