Pros

- Awesome team with lots of talented people - Freedom to choose and explore your own paths of research - Interesting technology

Cons

- Misleading job title: You will be spending most of your time not doing research but supporting current customers - Not much space career growth, new senior positions are often given to outside hires without giving our own talent a chance - There's no clear leadership on the Research Agenda, a lot of people seem to be working on "toy models" that have no direct applications to the product - Gradual shift to a micromanaged work culture: filing out detailed time sheets, dealing with non technical PMs to report on very technical research - Misleading compensation structure

Pros

Great people! Enjoyed the opportunity to learn from the strategic sales reps.

Cons

Leadership is starting to lack and aren't listening enough to what the employees want. Just okay benefits and slowly declining in culture. Starting to hire more entry level folks with less experience and isn't going to bode well in the long tern. Too strategic of a sell to be an effective model. Product is lacking ability to scale to smaller and different markets.

Pros

Benefits are great. Work-life balance is good. Co-workers are talented.

Cons

Leadership and upper management can't determine who's driving the company and where it's going. Goals change month to month. We end up on a never-ending chase because we can't figure out what or how to track it. There have been substantial budget cuts to every department. We've had to cut contractors, vendors, tools, and general spending, but the goals do not reflect the change in budget.
