Pros

A lot of training, but all on computer and it’s just reading and take a short test, that you have to be a complete moron to fail. Met a couple of good people

Cons

Constant parts shortages, so one week you might get 20 hours a week overtime, the next, sent home for no work. Don’t work over 60 hours, or you will be written up, because of some coalition they had to join because they have plants in Asia. I was once completing a test, but to finish would be over 60. Had to stop a 1.5 hour test, with about 30 minutes to go. Had to repeat test the next day with new payroll. started. Talk of diverse hiring, but hiring Indians fresh off the boat, not a great plan. I literally trained two employees who were living outside Bombay the week before. Supervisors who can barely speak English, and have never worked with the equipment, telling you your doing it wrong. Very cliquish, can never have a conversation at lunch, due to all the jabbering in foreign languages. Employees speak their language on the floor, so they can criticize others. Always walking on eggshells, afraid of making a mistake, or you’ll get terminated. Quarterly rah rah meetings, but don’t dare ask a question that is real and not rah rah, and will be written up.

Pros

Good Entry Level Work, with steps Individuals can take to gradually take on more complicated Tasks/Work. While I was there, Production Floor employees were even allowed to have "One Headphone In" to listen to their own personal music, etc.

Cons

Company is one of the "Offer them Happy Fluff" sorts, that believes it can cheat its employees by offering them "Fun" and "Engaging" events/meals, instead of providing them significant Raises, Promotions, or Bonuses for their Labor. Example: After working for Three Months doing an Additional 15% Labor Increase per day to meet a Wendy's Company Demand for Production, instead of handing out any Bonus or Raises/Promotions to the work force that made that huge goal possible, they instead gave everyone a single Wendy's Burger and side of Fries. Three Months of plus 15% daily labor increase....for a $5 meal "On the House". If you work there, don't be surprised if they bring in a Dart Board or something after a huge, multiple month production order is completed. You certainly will never see a personal bonus for it.

Pros

It is a pro only if you are management or HR production associates are not part of the team and communication is a big issue. They push quantity over quality.

Cons

Production associates are afraid to speak up because HR and management targets them if they do. They claim they want passionate, courageous people who will speak up if something is wrong but, when there is no communication, that is hard to do. Production associates do not recommend friends and family to work there because it has gone downhill, with bad management and HR on the floor. Upper management does not seem to care, they assume it will turn around on its own. They can not get experienced production associates to be PLs, supervisors or managers because, HR asks them to target certain production associates so, they take them from, Target, McDonalds ect. then tell associates to go to them when they have an issues. They have temps training temps because the training department is so bad, and nobody speaks up anymore because they say, it does not matter, and it will just get you targeted and fired. Most temps start and leave quickly when they find out things such as, you get fired before you can retire, and floor management and HR think anyone can be a class 3 solder in 6 weeks. 2 to 3 years, more like it. So, Not true but, company runs a lot of class three boards. You do the math.
