Pros

Hiring was quick and pay was good.

Cons

People around are scared and unfriendly. No help or team work. High turnover; people leave or get fired every week.

Pros

They have decent pay rates and benefits for an entry level position. They are willing to train individuals who have no prior experience. A small amount of the management can be pretty fun people who are easy to get along with on occasion. They try to put forth an effort to make work better for their employees, even if it isn't a perfect attempt. There are a few skills you could learn which can be useful outside of work in your home life if you find fixing electronics to be an appealing skill.

Cons

The company constantly bounces back and forth between an emphasis on quality versus an emphasis on quantity, creating an atmosphere where you could be reprimanded or rewarded for doing the same job, depending on which they were working on that week. The company has an enormous need for skilled workers, and will train people to fit the roles they need, but they don't offer wages comparable to their competitors. They constantly do employee surveys to measure employee job satisfaction but refuse to listen to the pleas of the employees for a better work/life balance or more money. They have a habit of stifling the growth of skilled and motivated employees because they "wouldn't be able to maintain the current rate of production without that employee". In reality, it's considered too much hassle to train someone up as a replacement for that individual. This leads to the talented/motivated people being stuck in menial jobs while those who are viewed as "moveable" get fast-tracked through the ranks. That leads to managers who are supposed to be able to provide goals, direction, and support to their subordinates being incapable of doing this because they don't fully comprehend the processes and everyone ends up working to catch up with the workflow rather than planning ahead, which in turn leads back to rushed and low quality work. It's because of this cycle that they've managed to lose a lot of business over the past several years.

Pros

The people at Plexus, make Plexus.

Cons

Implementation-of-the-week management culture. Upper management spends too much time preaching/lecturing to the boots on the ground, and far too little listening to them. Middle and lower management seem to find it difficult to communicate interactively, as well. The pay is substandard. Diversity is fine, as long as it conforms exactly to their way of thinking. We continue to hemorrhage the good people, as they leave for less frustrating, better paying opportunities.
