Pros

CMMI Level 4 company with strong work ethics and creative compensation plans. Attracts good leadership

Cons

Family run business, that is run like a family run business. Truly a "shop house" run operation with weak financial controls and arbitrary management framework. Very "cheap" when it comes to investment in growth or business development. Company pays for virtually nothing. Expense reports are combative. Very poor management communication. Company owners are "clock watchers" and value time in the office more than performance. Impatient for results in growth, likely to remain a small business and unlikely to make the leap to a full corporation competing in the bigger federal market. Current task order response business model cannot sustain growth objectives.

Terrible, stuffy, cheap place to be

Pros

There are a few good apples in the company but as long as the owners are still around, they will continue to shrink, lose business and see their best employees walk.

Cons

Incredibly high turnover rate, the owners second wife Kimmy who runs the place tried selling the company years ago and has driven it to the ground since. She will bring in people from Vietnam who are here on papers and pay them nothing, through them into a job they can't handle - like contracts when they don't speak the language and will try to save every penny at the cost of the company and culture. It's so sad to watch it happen.

Pros

The company has been around for 30 years so is stable. Government contract work so that is also stable. Nice coworkers.

Cons

Very strange company with unhealthy work ethic pushed on employees. Owners/senior management expect employees to work off the clock and not be compensated. They deny it but it's true. Proposals and work outside of job you are hired for and whenever they need something done but don't want to pay for it. Unless you work on a project and are bringing in $$ for them you are not valued or paid what you are worth. Most people don't last long and those that do are given more work than they can do. IT company but can't even get sound to work right for telecom for annual company meeting.

We appreciate your constructive criticism. We definitely have great employees that work hard and go the extra mile every day in support of our employees and customers. Many of our employees are salaried and when needed, we do expect work outside the traditional 40-hour week to meet project requirements and deadlines. In some cases, this is compensated and other times its part of the normal course of work. For non-salaried employees we pay all hours worked.
