Pros

Many compassionate front-line team members who genuinely care about residents Opportunities to learn how to problem-solve under pressure due to constant staffing and resource challenges The mission statement and company values sound good in theory, and with proper follow-through, could build something meaningful

Cons

Chronic under-budgeting for staffing makes it impossible to provide the level of care residents deserve Severe lack of training and development for front-line staff and community leaders Leadership tends to “talk the talk” about culture and values, but rarely “walks the walk” in practice Census growth is prioritized over quality of care and staff well-being High turnover (often 200%+) and burnout across nearly all departments Strong leaders who bring attention to issues or advocate for improvement are often dismissed or treated poorly. Unprofessional behavior from some upper-level leadership and owners undermines morale and credibility

Pros

They did pay for my unused PTO when I left (contingent on 2 week notice).

Cons

Just want to warn anyone considering working for PLC: their health insurance benefit is awful. Comprehensive (BC/BS) is offered at triple the price of most companies ($400/mo. for lowest tier, single person coverage), and, more importantly, it’s offered right alongside an indemnity policy (Reliance Standard) that looks like a more affordable option ($70/mo.), but it is absolutely worthless. Don’t be tricked. It covers nothing. This company is cheap across the board; employee satisfaction and retention is minimal. I’d look elsewhere if I were you.
