I was told on my first day that you are expected to work 9 hours a day, a total of a minimum of 45 hours a week and get a 30 minute lunch. This was not disclosed in the job offer. As a salaried employee I did not get paid the additional hours and had to clock in and out. If you did not work the 9 hours you were spoken to, even though the pay check only reflected 40 hours. Management especially buying in the disposables department is highly unqualified to lead. Promoted because of tenure not leadership ability. Daily micromanagement, unrealistic expectations, work load is unrealistic you can never catch up. Employees crying because of the stress they are under without help. You are not allowed to speak, because the management speaks over you. No work life balance and minimal holidays 6 days a year. Constant turn over. Worst management I have ever worked under in my 25 years in Supply Chain.

Starting with this company, it's evident that they don't place much importance on the marketing department. Patricia Snider, the COO, diminishes the department by referring to it as 'support staff,' which can be quite patronizing. The workload can be overwhelming, and you're often expected to go to great lengths to complete even the smallest projects. Upper management doesn't provide much support, likely because they are rarely on-site. In my experience, reporting directly to the COO was less than ideal; she was one of the least effective managers I've encountered. If you seek assistance or guidance on a project, you'll likely encounter an attitude of "this is your problem, not mine." The company's compensation is far from competitive; I was able to double my pay by leaving for a different opportunity. Speaking of leaving, the company experiences a high turnover rate, particularly among buyers, which makes it challenging to see projects through to completion. While you might expect the marketing department to focus on generating sales, it often feels more like pushing product demos to boost the COOs' profits at the expense of vendors. If you value your mental well-being, I strongly advise against accepting any offers from them. Your initial pay rate is likely to remain stagnant throughout your time there, as there's minimal room for career advancement or any real incentives for going the extra mile.
