Pros

The rank and file employees (that still remain) from each of the former companies that make up Revalize are all excellent. People are generally personable and hardworking.

Cons

The owners and new management of the company care very little about anything except lining their own pockets. Third party consultants effectively manage the company. Their goal is to make as much money as possible though aggressive acquisitions of (currently) profitable companies in order to make the numbers of the broader, struggling, new company look better. This company will be likely dumped to another PE firm within three years. People are disposable, and no consideration is given to any internal raises, even those promised by the previous former companies. Promotions are given in title and duties only (no pay increase). No attempts are made to retain any remaining talent the company has left. The technology stack is generally sad and outdated. Nothing current (within the last 5 years or so) is used. There are no experts left to maintain the existing legacy products that are owned by the company's largest customers.

Pros

Do you like stability? Do you want to be work for a company which has established job requirements, processes and organization structures? Do you like a solid product vision? Do you like to feel valued? If not you may fit in here and be able to coldly and mercilessly climb the corporate ladder through the bloody battlefield that is the chaotic day to day of Revalize.

Cons

The people running this sideshow thought that they could come in and axe all the people they want from the companies they gobble up and line their pockets with the widened profit margins. They think that they can find cheaper replacements who will enter an office in a pandemic and do so happily for a fraction of what you could get in the current tech job market. If you allow them to take advantage of you then they will get away with it… You wouldn’t let them do that, will you? People were laid off with seemingly no thought process as to how the show would run after their heads were rolling. These are people who worked for their entire LIVES to make their respective companies what they are and they were suddenly gone, placing all the burden of the work and product expertise on their remaining coworkers. People who are left are jumping ship… It’s a mutiny on the bounty, and for good reason. The job market is hot and if the C levels still seem to think they are smarter; they can skip on retention bonuses and raise cycles and people are going to take it because they need comfort and livelihood. Right? The type of leadership that gives you personality tests to determine your competence. Non-disparagements to keep you quiet. A culture to watch your back in. There’s no vision for how this thing comes together. There’s no puppet master pulling the strings. It’s a free for all and it’s going to wind up being a collateral loss write-off just like the jobs of those which were already snuffed out. They don't know what their products do or who is important, they are just hoping that they are smart enough to keep this sinking ship afloat without the people who designed it. Save yourself the stress. Get out.

Not Employee Focused

Pros

Unlimited time off that you can actually use. Ability to learn multiple industries and products If you want your foot in the door to excel your career and move to another company then try it

Cons

EBIDA focused company NOT employee focused company Once annual 401K match that is only 3%. Teams run lean, too many meetings and not getting enough work done because of multiple meetings everyday. Most of the time people work in meetings and don't pay attention anyway. ELT receives equity but the boots on the ground people do NOT. A lot of tech start ups (I feel Revalize is a start up since it is a new company) give equity to the employees, this allows them to feel apart of something and building something together but with Revalize if you are not on the ELT you do NOT receive equity. Leadership coming and going Health benefits are expensive and NOT good Only 3% "raises" or NO raises - some folks on my team worked 12 hour days and received NO raise, 3% isn't even cost of living. Comp is below what other tech companies offer. I think the Good reviews are new hires who don't know what they are in for, the ELT, or HR making the company look better than it really is. Tout they are a World Class company but they don't offer world class benefits or comp, in order to retain world class talent the company needs to up their offerings.
