Reactive. Although we may be the innovative leader within the industry our culture still reacts like a start up company. Often Bullied by competiton we do not operate like #1. To much power concentrated at the Division Manager level. A make or brake mentality. If your work rapport with Senior Management has been damaged your upward mobility is over. Good Ole Boys network. The selected few will gain advantages others are never given. Separate rules for different people. The company is more interested in attracting new hires than addressing the concerns of tenure associates . Salaries are not competitive when compared to our competition. (Conduct your own research)

Culture is toxic. BAT has turned the company into BAT vs RAI long term employees. RAI was moved to the BAT Global Tao Platform in July and it has been a steady downhill slide. Adequate training is not completed by a Power Point presentation but BAT obviously thinks it is. RAI has been taken backwards 16 years with the move to global platform in terms of efficiency and stream lining of activities.
