Thank you for taking the time to share your comments. First let's focus on the positive: you hit the nail on the head. Our people are the best and we do indeed have great people working at Roush. And we do work on the coolest projects for some of the most incredible organizations in the world. Your comments under the heading "Con" are troubling. We absolutely do not condone aggressive, mean or rude behavior. HR does in fact very much want to help employees in these situations and have a well-defined protocol for intervening, assessing the situation, and working with those involved to hopefully achieve a positive outcome. It is very unfortunately that your experience did not align with our mission. If you'd like to share more details about your experience please email HR directly at human@roush.com. Best of luck to you.

Pros

None - zero - zilch -- avoid this company unless you consider poor treatment and no rewards for hard work a pro. I wish I could give this company zero stars.

Cons

This company just handed out massive bonuses to all of the executives. Meanwhile, they just decided they are too poor to give merit increases to their hard working employees. This company pays low salaries, has poor benefit packages, bare minimum time off, but they are making a ton of money from their customers.

Let’s start from the bottom up and address your statement that Roush pays low salaries and has poor benefit packages. While you feel our wages are below average, our HR department and executive team constantly analyze market data to ensure that we are providing our employees fair and competitive wages and our total compensation package aligns with others in the industries we serve. Our total compensation package has in fact increased, as the company has recently taken on a greater burden of rapidly increasing health care costs to ensure that employees’ out-of-pocket expenses remain affordable. And, as you know, we have also increased the amount the company pays into participating employees’ 401K accounts. As to merit increases, we did not announce that we were not paying merit increases; we said they would be delayed. With the current uncertainty in worldwide financial markets and our largest customers proceeding very cautiously with 2023 program activities, it is fiscally sound for us to analyze first quarter performance before making those calculations. Employees are always encouraged to talk to their supervisors if you feel your performance is being overlooked or if you have concerns about compensation. If you are not comfortable talking with your supervisor, please email human@roush.com. A member of the HR team will work with your to address your concerns.

Thank you for taking the time to comment. We appreciate your recognition that Roush offers a great professional learning environment. We work hard on that! I would first like to address your feeling that wages are stagnant. We are acutely aware that our employees are feeling the pressure of higher prices at the gas pump, grocery store, and retail outlets. Our leadership and human resource teams constantly monitor market data to ensure that we are providing our employees fair and competitive wages when benchmarked against companies our size in the industries we serve. We compare employees’ total compensation package, which includes both wages and benefits. So while you might not feel wages are not increasing at a fast enough rate, we have increased employees’ total compensation package by taking on a greater burden of increased health care costs to keep employees’ out of pocket expenses very low compared to industry averages and recently increased our employer 401(k) contributions. Thank you, also, for your input regarding opportunities for advancement. In the past several years we been extremely proactive in working with department leaders and managers to create career development plans and training for their employees. Your leader can point you to the tools put in place to help you explore your careers interests and opportunities in the company. Data indicates that American workers who participate in an upskilling program earn more per year than those who do not take advantage of opportunities to enhance their knowledge and skills. In recognition of this fact, Roush offers over 3,000 on-line training modules in addition to their on-site technical and professional development training. We also provide a tuition reimbursement program to support employees’ goals of improving their skill sets. Career development is important to us, so we’d like to learn more about what we can do to improve our efforts. Please feel free to reach out human@roush.com.
