Pros

RxSense is interesting in both good and bad ways. The kumbaya spiel is infectious, to be sure, but you can't help but feel that there is something rotten at the core underneath. The pay is great. The work is nominal. These guys are definitely burning through investor cash, I think.

Cons

It's like a Stepford Wives or Jordan Peele "Something ain't right" sorta thing. A lot of it has to do with them hiring (or, I suppose, keeping) horrible managers. Mobility is a crap shoot at RxSense. If a manager wants you at a certain position, you will stay there. A manager won't ask you what your aspirations are, only what they want you to do (as an underling). Also, did I mention the horrible managers? Horrible managers are par for the course in ANY company, but here they're REALLY REALLY bad. Since when (in Agile) does a manager run or is even present in standups? NEVER! This is the opposite of Agile. These guys wouldn't know Agile or Scrum if it bit them in the head. But you can't be too hard on them. So many companies pervert both those words (Agile/Scrum) into something they can understand. These guys are them. With the right manager (a.k.a. not a d*) you will LOVE this place. With the wrong manager, you will be miserable. 50/50 chance. So much potential for this company to shine. So much B/S characters in charge. I've had the pleasure of working with a myriad managers who were amazing in many companies. Trust me, these guys here are the pits.

Pros

-technology (for the most part) -WFH-handling during pandemic -medical insurance coverage -you can learn a lot if you have initiative (there's no orientation and little clear direction/support otherwise, so you will REALLY need this)

Cons

-No 401k match (the CEO almost sounded offended when asked about this on a company call), so make sure you account for this in your salary -Integrity (I've seen people that work here post glowing reviews on the Google Play store about one of our mobile apps) -Naked Emperor, "big fish in small pond" leadership, which leads them to either let talented people walk or force them out -The client is more important than the employee. This doesn't necessarily lead to the growth that you would think, mostly because of overpromising and underdelivering. -Almost everything is a fire drill somehow in certain departments. What makes it worse is that many of the issues are the same things over and over again. - The talk of being overworked is right, but this is partially due to leadership that leans on higher performers as the easy way out -Technical decisions made by non-technical people, mostly since the technical leadership tends to be pretty spineless. You would think that a so-called tech firm would be more concerned with their technical staff. -a concerning amount of leadership turnover

Pros

Very fast paced, true high growth business which is exhilarating to be a part of. Lots going on and lots changing and moving forward every week. People are really kind, hard working, decent team, that respect one another. Its a culture of performance and delivery and 'one team, one company' and its lived not just talked about. Company fundamentals are very good. I read a review here that the business model has some tainted elements, thats not true from what I have exposure to or visibility into.

Cons

So much changes so fast, that as a company we aren't fully kept up to speed on wins, losses, accomplishments etc. I hear management is working on that, but would be great if they could speed that up. I'd love to know what everyone across the org is doing and how we are tracking. the good, bad and the ugly.
