S&S Activewear is the biggest impediment to their own success! The management team is unprofessional, uneducated, and and self-entitled; to call these people "management" is a joke at best. Don't expect to hear back from your manager in a timely manor with any sort of solution to the problem especially when it has to do with losing a sale or a customer. None of the managers have any sense of urgency at all, what-so-ever. It's crystal clear that they don't appreciate their employees or their customers.
Additional cons are that the territories are not divided up fairly amongst the sales team. Some territories are very dense with few miles in-between them and the employee isn't responsible for the entire state, in fact, there may be several sales people working within that same geographical area while others are made up of multiple states where the employee is responsible for all accounts across all of that land, furthermore, the larger and more favored accounts within ones territory may be assigned to a non-local rep.
The compensation for the workload is extremely poor, you'll get paid a straight salary and there are zero commission opportunities (across all competitor companies commissions are paid out along with the salary and bonus). If you ask the management team for the metrics in which your annual bonus was calculated they'll smirk and chuckle and let you know that because they choose to pass on the business so often that they can't hold you accountable for it (however, you are not being compensated fairly against your peers - I assure you).
Another issue is that you'll beat up your car by putting on thousands of miles each year and they don't even pay you the full mileage rate!!! They are happy to pay you $0.44/mile.
What's really sad to me is that the owners (Paul and Jeff) are wonderful people and the folks calling the shots each day are running this company into the ground FAST.
