Pros

The team members are hardworking people trying to withstand the constant haranguing from managers about selling PPC

Cons

The level of exploitation is astounding: They pay you on Wednesdays so that way they can work you from Monday to Saturday 8 - 6 and technically they don’t have to pay you overtime because the Wednesday pay period breaks up the week. Their system for transactions is archaic. It requires so much paperwork and relies on so much human error that you are bound to be called out for something. They say there is a new system on the way but with how little this company likes to spend it will be inferior. They say it isn’t a sales culture but everyday and every meeting you are being barraged with different exploitative ways to get a sell of their ppc. One way is to tell the member only about the ppc which charges a fee and if the member doesn’t resist don’t mention the free checking account. You have to bring a member into the office and harass them to not close an account because those are being tracked too. The leadership team practices old and outdated leadership tactics that base your advancement on loyalty to them.

Pros

-401k is nice bc they have a really good match, they put in a certain amount even if you don’t. Not that it matters bc you don’t make enough to be able to afford to put into the plan. - I havnt had any issues with co workers other than the ones who are sexually inappropriate in the workplace making comments about people’s physical features to you and you not being able to say anything without stirring the pot or making waves at your workplace

Cons

There is more bad than good. When I first started 3 or so years ago it was great super fun place to work, great environment. I got paid what I think is fairly 20 an hour for being just a teller. However once your trained on the teller line about 3 months in they throw you into many training classes and when your out of training you either sink or swim. This being said don’t expect help from management bc they just stay in their offices watching cameras or you suffer from a line out the door bc of the little staffing they like to provide. You are worked like a dog, with no praise for your hard work. Only little sessions monthly to tell you what you need to improve on rather than letting you know what you did right. You will often be left wondering if you did good or bad. However after all the trainings and hard work you do with additional skill sets you will be given a 2% raise and told to do better and you have a chance at promotion, that will never come anytime soon if at all. Which isn’t bad except you’re doing the job of someone who makes 60k a year at another company doing one of these skill sets but your doing all the jobs while getting paid 40k a year. Which is not livable. They didn’t used to be sales oriented however now they have cracked down on sales. If you don’t meet goals your informed by management maybe this isn’t the place for you or we might need to work on different skills sets, (hinting you need to find another job). IF YOUR LOOKING FOR JOB SECURITY THIS IS NOT IT!!! Then this all gets relayed to you again in your monthly evaluation. They boast about being a 13+ billion dollar company yet don’t want to pay their employees for the work they do accordingly. Time off is only if your approved and guess what YOU ARE NEVER APPROVED!! You have very little staff and there is a rule with only one person off at a time. So if you have something important you need to be off for, sorry Charlie it ain’t gonna happen your gonna have to call in sick. Which you then get docked for later on your review affecting your performance. They say the employees are cared about and are top priority however it all goes out the window once your hired. Hours are Monday through Friday 7:30-6:30PM and Saturdays 7:30-2:30PM which is not ideal for work/life balance. Management is just horrible, seriously they are a joke. No help just there floating/micro managing every little thing you do.

Pros

401K program is top notch

Cons

You will be expected to advance through trainings at a breakneck pace and almost no support. But to add insult to injury, you won't be compensated for each new skill and new training you go through. They will hire externally for higher positions, so don't get your hopes up thinking you can grow within the company. The few promotions that you may get come few and far between with a pitiful wage increase. The promotions will even be forgotten about even after management puts in the request because the company is woefully mismanaged. They live by the "you should come to work because you enjoy it, not for the money" idea and it shows. They'll celebrate the company being a billion dollar institution but can't find money to properly pay their employees. The CEO will even admit that, because of inflation, employees are making less than they were the year before. He tries to include himself in that category, but there's not a chance he feels the effects of inflation as harshly as his employees, if at all. They claim to put employees first, but that has never been demonstrated. Upper management will only criticize and focus on negatives, but will rarely dole out well deserved praise
