Pros

High compensation, multiple resources for continuing education, great chain of command from CEO down to Managers, to Sales Coaches and trainers, you are never left in the dark. This is a tough job. It is not order taking. The people leaving bad reviews obviously didn't want to work very hard. I work 40 hours a week and make a great living. I can do this in my sleep. Oh, and they pay you a ton of money for cross sales. Lots of incentives (trips to Hawaii, Flat screens, ipads, lotto tickets, horse races) Last year, I think SQ paid out 250K in bonuses to its employees, if not more.

Cons

Dealing with the public, not a lot of people understand the basics of Life Insurance. No company wants to pay a salary to someone who is not giving 100%. After a few months of working, this position becomes Commission only, which is good for people who love sales and realize that it makes you work harder, but I still wish I was paid something for my time here.

Pros

I thought that the overall company was a very good company to work for

Cons

The changing, and fluctuating pay cycle is very bad. The changes are not made to benefit the sales reps.

Pros

Ability to make good money if you work 50-60 hours per week and are patient. Good lead system and sales process. The ability to have flexibility in the future after the first year or two. Health insurance benefits. If you work like crazy you can make really great money but not for the first 6 months to a year. No cold calling and not much follow up or clerical work.

Cons

Terrible management for the most part. Company is an ego driven company from the owners down to mid level management with a few exceptions. There were a lot of nice lower level managers that are really nice but mostly tuned out to their agents needs - most likely their time was taken up with trying to keep up with the demands of their managers. The atmosphere of the company over-all is fear and bullying based. BUT there are some really nice people there to keep it unbearable. I personally left for a career change but would have left eventually because of the constant pettiness of upper and middle management.
