Pros

Decent training, solid benefits that extend beyond just insurance. The book per month and gym membership reimbursement is a nice touch. That’s about where it ends

Cons

For claiming they are people powered, if you do not fit into their criteria you will have a very hard time thriving here no matter your work ethic. The lack of diversity (especially in leadership) is concerning. They also like to act like the culture is one where you are constantly supported and that is just not true, it is cut throat and threats of termination are constant. The manager level is treated like an exclusive club while priding themselves on transparency.

Pros

- Pretty solid, recession-proof industry to be in. - Met a lot of good people here (although many of them have recently left)

Cons

- Salary. This is the big one. This company is obsessed with underpaying employees- especially on the operations side. If you're not in sales, you're a second class citizen. They have adapted very poorly to hiring from a national talent pool with the shift to remote work. They pay like everyone is in Grand Rapids (a very low CoL city). The attrition rate in the last couple of years has skyrocketed. - Benefits. The benefits here are definitely well below average despite repeated feedback from employee surveys that this needs to change. Leadership has not seriously addressed this. Which brings me to... - Leadership. The leadership team here talks a big talk. They are obsessed with the term "people-powered", but don't seem to support their people where it really counts. I believe there was a time when this was more the case, but lately it really just feels like marketing propaganda. They clearly do not really care about the well-being of their employees, as evidenced by the low salaries.

Pros

Surrounded by a bunch of great people...all smiles..part of the allure of the field service job is the allusion that you are your own boss, most of the time, Was never micro managed there...Benefits are decent

Cons

kool-Aid dispensed by the drumload. Constantly told how they are for their people, but, in a Field Service environment, all I can say is "Yeah, right!!" First off , no pay for being on call. You give up a week of your life to be on call and get nothing in return, unless you get called out, then you get OT, and, if the ticket qualifies, a 2 hour call out(straight time). not worth giving up a week, especially if you don't get called out. No company vehicles...no vehicle allowance, and not even reimbursed for mileage at he Federal rate. They only give you 85% of the Fed rate, while they probably write off 100%. Now wonder a lot of the FSE's drive clunkers... And don't refuse to drink the Kool Aid, failure to buy into the culture makes you a marked person...so just sit back, smile and wave, and sing the Kumbaya like you mean it, even if you don't.
