Not a good place to grow right now

Pros

- Decent overall compensation package including quarterly bonuses and additional monthly benefits like tech coverage, education, etc - Remote work opportunities - Quality coworkers

Cons

- Volatile market - No sense of direction (plans change almost every month) - No room for growth due to poor business planning - Lots of nepotism (leads to unmotivated but 100% protected employees) - Poor executive leadership - Planning for quarters happens halfway through, meaning you have less time to get more done - Constant layoffs (fear for job security) - No internal communication about layoffs (suddenly people are just gone) - Siloed work structure (if you're not senior level you know nothing) - Certain teams/departments prioritized over others with impunity - If results aren't instant, they don't want it (only interested in quick wins, not long term strategies) - Poor financial planning and foresight - Make decisions with no comprehension for the possibility of failure and have no back up plans - Too reliant on 3rd party partnerships for revenue - Conflicting time zones make some projects almost impossible to complete - Certain teams do things on their own with no oversight or check-ins with the teams that should actually be doing it - Executives will bypass managers to ask for favors from lower level employees, leaving everyone in the dark (this takes up time and money with no real oversight, communication or reason) - No real recognition for work done if you're not one of the favored few (i.e. unless you are buddies with the CEO, they won't bother to learn to pronounce your name or acknowledge your existence) - Expectation to work outside business hours if you want to get ahead - Employees are overworked due to company's demand for more revenue - Executives unwilling to make sacrifices to keep employees on (i.e. not willing to take paycut, take on more work or reduce personal bonuses to prevent layoffs) - 'Restructuring' almost every other month

Pros

ServiceRocket is a profitable startup with a unique value proposition, which helps it attract a broad set of customers. The employees adhere to a set of common values and people are hired based on them (if you are considering joining ServiceRocket, review the 5 values and ensure you are aligned with them). ServiceRocket provides its employees with responsibility and the help to achieve stretch goals. It has four global offices and incorporates the culture of each.

Cons

ServiceRocket operates like a startup with people helping out on a wide variety of tasks. If you want to focus on only one job responsibility, it may not be the best place for you. Similarly it has a playful culture, but if you are looking for something more serious, it may not be right.

Pros

If you're just getting into the field, ServiceRocket does a great job at preparing you for your career. It's a pretty decent place to work, and most managers do actually care and do a good job depending on who you get. The work is challenging but fun, and the teammates are unmatched in their reliability.

Cons

As a senior consultant, I have found that I could find better organization and pay somewhere else. They lowballed my base salary and tried to make up for it with a large bonus but the bonus is based on company profits and goals that you have to make for yourself. The goals are something that the CEO came up with recently but everyone hates them. You have to waste your time doing them for really no benefit besides ensuring you get your bonus.
