Pros

Profit sharing, paid holidays, fitness center, friendly employees, executives seem to care about employees as a whole, and quarterly employee lunches.

Cons

Not much individual recognition from executives, inflexible work hours, business professional dress code that is sporadically enforced, and micro-management by many department managers.

Servpro Industries Response

Thank you for your favorable comments and suggestions for improvement. Over the years, SERVPRO has improved its work environment, including the completion of a major campus expansion project, modifying our dress code, expanding the use of virtual office and flexible work scheduling opportunities for many jobs, and expanding leadership training for our managers. Over the past ten years, SERVPRO Corporate has grown from 150 to over 450 employees. Most of our employees recognize SERVPRO's greatest benefit is its business growth and stability, providing solid long-term career opportunities for hundreds of employees in the Middle Tennessee area. Thanks again for your comments and suggestions. We are well on our way in updating our work environment. For 2015, our recent efforts were recognized by our employees by them proclaiming SERVPRO Corporate, via employee survey, as a Top Workplace.

Pros

There are no pros to working for Servpro of Wilson County. Matter of fact the owners of Wilson county also own Madison/Goodlettesville, South Nashville, and Sumner county franchises as well, so probably best to stay away from all of them.

Cons

No lunches, low pay, favoritism, not keeping promises (i.e told during interview would recieve an eval and raise at 90 day mark.... took six months) On call when the manager wants you specifically to be on call (seemed to be i was on call every week during the end of my employment), harassment, stalking, multiple osha, tosha, eeoc, labor violations.

Pros

Franchise's are encouraged to hire under trained employees, so there is a lot of room to grow personally but not professionally.

Cons

Horrible hours. On call all the time. Amoral business practices. Encouraged to manipulate customers out of money. Encouraged to tell customers to sign forms without reading them while they're in a state of shock about their situation. You will be trained on many new systems and processes but allowed no growth in your salary. Expected to pay for all your own training within months of joining the company. The franchises are encouraged to remain understaffed to maximize profits.
