Pros

The company is very stable, and your job like-wise. My manager is flexible and understanding when he can be and doesn't micromanage. They have a set goal for the next few years that they keep employees informed of so you can see where your work is headed.

Cons

The company is family run and very old fashioned. Being financially frugal is a business pride, and while that can be good, it also means the provided and available equipment is often woefully outdated. A lot of round-robin gets played with office software so you'll often have to ask someone else to log out of a system so that you can log in because of a lack of licenses for everyone. Salary tends to be on the low side of the expected spectrum. The benefits are good, but they're expensive if you need to cover more than just the employee.

Pros

ZERO... Absolutely ZERO pros

Cons

I was offered the job and moved two hours away from my home to take it. I was brought on to be a Marketing and Sales Rep for the new branch in Quincy, IL. Told me I would have to start out as Production to learn the business of what I was selling. Made sense to me so I didn't think twice. During my first week I completely moved everything from one warehouse to their new one across town. My second week I went to a job site alone with no training and completed it myself. On a Friday they told me that I would begin my video training online, Monday. I showed up on Monday at 8 am. Watched a few videos and by 11:30 am I was fired for being "Unprofessional" and because the manager said "I don't think we will get along very well." I'm not going to claim I was perfect by any means, but perhaps a correction on behavior or whatever it was that made me unprofessional was in order first before firing me after half a day. You can call me disgruntled but it seems a little fishy that after moving them into a new warehouse and finishing a job for them, after they fired their other production workers, that all of a sudden I am "Unprofessional." To top it all off I have been waiting an extra two weeks to receive my compensation for the two weeks I did work. If I don't see the check soon, legal action will ensue.
