So much drama.

Pros

Flexible hours are the biggest perk.

Cons

At first, I considered this company a breath of fresh air. As the company has grown, however, it's gone downhill fast. There were terrible changes in management, and people were handed positions they were highly unqualified for. There's no room for growth or promotion. While flexible hours are an incredible perk, they are not worth workplace drama.

We’re a mission-driven company, and for us it’s truly first and always about the patient. We try to hire only those who believe in our mission and embrace our values: Integrity, Gratitude, Servant Leadership, Respect, and Teamwork. It never feels good to see a member of our team, current or former, unhappy. We’re sorry this was not the right work environment for you. Prior to responding to this post, we reviewed every comment left in our suggestion box, and found not a single suggestion related to management, oversight, career growth or work environment. We regularly conduct town halls in the corporate office, we invite anonymous input via our suggestion box, our management team has an open-door policy, and we believe in and practice servant leadership. Later this month, we’re flying all company employees to San Antonio for our company retreat, and during that event we will be encouraging constructive input on how to make SkinCure Oncology the best place to work in healthcare.

Predatory For-Profit Healthcare; Sales before Care

Pros

I don't actually have to work with my coworkers, since I'm the only SkinCure employee in the building. The rest are spread out around the country. I get to work all of the overtime. I also get to get in trouble for working all of the overtime. I also get to get in trouble for not working the overtime, since I am the only SkinCure employee in a 300 mile radius. I get health, dental, and vision insurance. And since I'm the only SkinCure employee in the area, I also get to not take a day off to go to the doctor.

Cons

If I don't meet quota, that's a demerit. I have to do the radiation therapy, plus the dosimetry, plus the record keeping, plus the scheduling, plus the path call backs, plus the consultation, plus the follow ups. Have you ever seen radiation cause a non-healing ulcer? I have. But I am not allowed to break protocol, I am not allowed to refuse to treat, I am not allowed to advocate for the patient. Deliver the treatment, collect the money, and shut up.
