Pros

I have worked a very long time in my life and coming to work at Cedar Lake was the best decision I have made in a very long time. The indepth training that is provided to each and every employee shows just how important each one is to the company. It's refreshing to know that this company truly cares about each other and the teamwork that is shown shines through with the success of the business. The residents are cared for and are happy. The employees smile and are happy to be at work. Together its a winning situation for both employee and resident! So happy to be a part of such a wonderful crowd! I'm sure Cedar Lake will continue to be a very successful!

Cons

There are no cons that come to mind. We are running like a well oiled machine each and everyday!

Pros

Brand new community in Lake Zurich, IL. Management cares about the team members, open communication with the team. We treat the residents really well. We are staffed enough. The company seems to listen and care about things that we need. Its nice to get a meal while you are working and not have to pay for it. I like the uniforms.

Terrible Company to work for!

Pros

Great group of people on staff. Sadly, They are all worked liked dogs and not appreciated by the directors, nor the residents.

Cons

Hugely Understaffed in every department. Working in the kitchen, I was left alone to provide meals for all residents and the staff after only one week of working there And I was expected to do the job of dish washer as well as line cook and prep cook. I was required to wash the shift dishes, Break down the serving line, Sweep, mop, scrub the walls, stoves, oven and grills after providing the meals for staff and the residents. They alotted me 1 hour to accomplish this and they would absolutely not pay for any time afterward. My Director had the nerve to call me a screw up, and a baby when I told him I was no longer going to work there. They will work you like a dog, pay you at an unlivable hourly wage, and then insult you when you refuse to be abused any further. Do not bother with this company.
