You learn to hustle and work under extreme stress.

Cons

Housing market is turning bad quickly and refocusing on the lower end is plain stupid. Management/HR encouraging people to post favorable reviews online, all the while being embarrassed to hear from friends and family about how people were mistreated. We were doing really great and than they came over and brought with them the vulture culture.

Decent, and wealthy, location so you can easily upsell buyers and inflate your commissions

Cons

Since all the organizational changes, that happened over a year ago, everything because short term focused. With sales being pushed to squeeze out every cent (through needless extras and upsell) all the while skimping on quality... There's no way anyone will here will get repeat business

Pros

If you listen to the "old timers", you may actually learn how to run a proper home building company

Cons

Everything is in quick deterioration, from employee relations to the quality of the products. Since the company brought in some Japanese investors they've been trying to eliminate costs way too aggressively - cheapening out on people and quality vendors will inevitably end up costing more.
