Pros

Good exposure to global teams and markets, especially US HQ Exposure to new and cutting-edge technologies, especially related to AI Opportunity to work with major industry players plus smaller solution partners OK WLB but depends on your team/department Above average employee welfare benefits for Taiwan Spacious and relatively new facilities in Taiwan Stock plan for employees depending on seniority Overall good job stability/security

Cons

Despite being a US company, the management style leans towards Taiwan style, even at the US HQ Very strict attendance policy, no flexibility on working hours, no remote/hybrid work Parking at the Bade campus is limited and expensive, even though there are no public transport options nearby Slow development and promotion progress

A good fit for the right people

Pros

Product is in demand. Work is interesting. A lot of talented people work here. Great place for someone that is experienced in their field and has thick skin. Always hiring. Hard to get fired.

Cons

The 9 to 6 office schedule is absurd, along with many other HR related policies. There is a massive lack of communication, starting from top. Departments and teams are encouraged to compete, not work together.

Pros

Even though it’s a public company with heavy compliance, formal approvals, quarterly guidance pressure, it still operates like a startup with outdated process, and one has the ability to own their work and see impact immediately. The work environment is suited for someone who wants to act like an owner and isn't afraid to get their hands dirty. Leadership is involved in the details.

Cons

Note that decisions are made quickly at the top, so one has to be comfortable shifting gears, and constant changes require a lot of flexibility. Good for people who enjoy change, ambiguity and comfortable with on-site working culture 9-6.
