Pros

Applied for position. Received a call for telephone interview. Reviewer said my computer running a 2.2GHZ Quad core processor and 6 GB of ram was not fast enough and that I needed to upgrade to at least a 3.0 GHZ processor. The interview was then ended as I was not willing to upgrade my computer. I doubt if they have any idea what a 'quad' processor actually is. I've been repairing and upgrading computers/software for over 18 years and doubt they have any application that would not run on my system.

Cons

They are looking for skilled people and pay them nothing. BEWARE!!

Pros

Work from home, thats it

Cons

Everything else. Lazy team leaders...they ask you to answer promptly while juggling calls, filling out tickets, trackers, tools..etc but if you have to get an answer from HR, IT, Upper Management or even your team leader in some instances prepare to wait or in some instances wont get an answer at all. You will have your job threatened often and they are actually hiring people at LESS money than I was currently hired at so I already feel like I can be replaced for less (which is fine, i'd gladly collect unemployment and search for something else at this point). Complaints, ideas, and personal ideas to help you get promoted in leadership roles or anything else fall on deaf ears.

Pros

Working from home is the only positive thing about SDC

Cons

This list could go on forever here, I'll just list a few short things. -You will be promised things to motivate you, and the supervisors making those promises are lying to your face figuratively. -You will be told something by one supervisor, and something totally different and conflicting by another supervisor. -Shift bids are not quarterly. They're whenever Comcast decides to change "business needs." (READ: Weekly, monthly, etc) -The new hires they are bringing on, they have no tech background. They're hired because they can answer the phones. If you have an above average knowledge set, you'll be expected to hold their hand. Policies change so often here @ SDC it's hard to keep up, for everyone. It looks like we'll soon be dealing with sales pitches as well shortly. All in all, SDC is no longer a true tech support company. It's just for script reading, flow following, mindless morons now. The review below mine from a supervisor that talks the place up like it's the greatest place to work ever, that goes to show you how out of touch the supervisors @ SDC are. Look at all of the reviews and judge for yourself. Employees from USA, Canada, and India are all saying the same things; yet here comes along this supervisor saying that things are great. The disconnect is unreal. Supervisors are cliquey and so out of touch with the workforce. I would not come on board with this company if you're thinking about it. You're going to be disappointed and there are far better employment options out there.
