Private company with focus on employees and growth. Very stable industry that is typically not affected by economy downturns. Great benefit package with health, 401k, gym, etc... Have started in the last 2 years training leadership for succession planning. Growth from within. Current employees get first chance at new positions for promotions. As with any growing organization, some pains occur but the TVH group goes to great extent to make sure all employees are valued and communicated to. Yearly engagement surveys done with all employees which allows the company to focus on areas of improvement ultimately improving those areas.

Cons

Just growing pains. Acquisitions, new hires, training can stretch some thin. TVH is taking strides to address these issues with onsite training, process documentation and online document storage for each employee.

Pros

They pay warehouse workers more than the average starting wage but that's for a reason. The company is trying to keep people from quitting.

Cons

The warehouse crew has to stay until it's done. There is a lot of forced overtime. The warehouse turnover rate hovers around 200% every year. They will try and make you quit instead of fire you so they don't have to pay unemployment.

Employee retention and recognition are very important to TVH. We have implemented many employee-focused initiatives as a direct result of employee feedback. One of these is the Mentor Program to help employees develop while simultaneously building relations between departments, and our Leadership Academy trains our company’s leaders and helps them grow with the company.

Decent Pay Good Benefits Gym in building.

Cons

Advancing past basic warehouse positions is difficult. Management is under qualified they often make decisions and judgments without an understanding of the tasks. Often hire unqualified people that they like over qualified people. Do not work here if you aren't a yes man.

We also have a Mentor Program that provides employees with development opportunities and support while improving interdepartmental collaboration. Our Leadership Academy was created in 2013 to train managers and supervisors to listen to their employees and manage them with the focus of improving their department and employees’ engagement.
