Very unstable company. The company leadership did not provide any warning for the layoffs in 2023. In 2022, leadership announced there wouldn't be layoffs in the coming year, but they would implement a hiring freeze for their financial concerns. In early 2023, the company expressed they were doing well and distributed bonuses. 1 month after that, there was a massive wave of layoffs. 3 of my own team members were let go in the same week, my position was also impacted. Without anything warning, they sent an HR person to meet with you and told you to log off and return the laptop right after. Also, I wanted to mention that the leadership did not care about their employees getting burned out. The product and design department at Tandem was more stressful. I have seen employees cry during meetings due to the stressful situation at work.

Management makes changes without informing other managers, or asking those in the role their opinion of the change. Management regularly tells you what you want to hear with little follow through. If you are promised something (role change, promotion, etc) don't get your hopes up until you get the offer in writing or until it actually happens.
