Low pay for hourly employees and extremely limited growth opportunities. It has been incredibly difficult to find growth within the company that aligns with my professional goals after almost 2 years. There is no collaboration with other departments within my role that would allow me to network or learn new skills plus they often increase our workload with no raise or compensation at all. I regret taking on this role right out of college because I feel it has stunted my opportunities, especially in the tough 2023 job market. Despite joining other organizations within the company to expand my skills and network, it is insanely difficult to be noticed as a prospective candidate- even for internal roles. Not to mention the insanely low pay for living in San Diego in 2023. It is becoming nearly impossible to stay afloat with the current pay for this role and I'm shocked when I see open positions offered at a couple dollars less an hour than mine.

Culture of laziness and complacency due to lack of incentives; most remaining employees are burned out and stopped trying to fix things a long time ago...the ambitious and intelligent employees tend to leave the company quickly. Most of the managers cannot be trusted; they will throw you under the bus, hoard information, and sabotage top performers out of fear that they will be replaced. The pay is absolute garbage, don't expect significant raises/promotions either. Attempting to switch departments or teams will get you "blacklisted" . Nepotism is out of control, everybody is in a relationship with each other or is family/friends. Company has a bureaucratic environment that does not reward employees based on merit or competency. Management cliques protect and promote each other. Employees that have been there too long (the "old guard") are way too comfortable and act like dictators; they do not like any new ideas that deviate from their outdated processes. Do NOT trust HR; they are well aware of the company issues but try hide everything with a "culture of smiles". Stock options have been removed, bonuses were slashed, layoffs occurred, stock price collapsed 80% in a year and a half. Customer experience is also terrible, nearly all the reviews are negative.
