Pros

This is a large manufacturing company with a wide range of processes from sheet metal forming, extrusion milling, composite layup, to final assembly. There are a wide variety of positions if you have skills that can be transferrable.

Cons

The big one, this is a corporate aircraft manufacturer – a luxury for which companies are being persecuted. The job outlook is very poor. These companies have recurring swings of hiring booms to layoffs. Cessna, and its parent company Textron, all but disbanded the Six-Sigma organization. There’s still a continuous improvement group but it has been weakened.

Pros

This job has brought Me and My family to Wichita, paying a mortgage on a new home, and a much better lifestyle, with valuable benefits. I take pride in working for Cessna, and building a World Class product. It has provided Me with many chances to use My skilled abilities. But, it has many drawbacks as well.

Cons

Well, If You are willing to earn Your pay, then You had better be one tough cookie. Because ,You will not only earn Your Pay, but also the pay for many Slackers who couldnt get a job at the local hamburger joints. The good old boy system, out of control, favorites, girlfriends, brother-in-laws, You name it. And how much advancement for a hard worker? Oh, they save that for their buddies!
