Pros

Family like Coworkers. Challenging, fast-paced, cooperate "cookie cutter" (aka by the book) work environment. Service is lead by fearless leaders and the service teams are strong. If you have what it takes the compensation is very, very nice. Tip averages can be above 21% with shift sales easily 1k plus. Healthcare at 25 hours! Paid time off, sick leave, career advancement. Options to travel and train, open new locations all across the world. I honestly feel as if The Cheesecake Factory has thought of absolutely everything, you will be provided with every tool you need and the chance to succeed every shift I guarantee it. If you have the drive and skills this is an amazing job and career starter or the perfect place to work while you start your career elsewhere.

Cons

If you're not cut out for this fast pace or do not have the skill set for the job you claim to be able to preform, (at this high level of execution) you will end up elsewhere. To be fair this is all described to you and it really is a make it or break it position. Not the right job for everyone, you must be able to handle high stress scenarios and execute flawless performance by multi-tasking in a way that wows the guest at your orchestration, speed, confidence and most important genuine care for their amazing experience. (If this is what you enjoy doing what I just wrote is not really a Con, just a challenge)

Large organization that has a lot of resources available.

Cons

The amount of training and testing was intense, but does help you in the long run.

Pros

Money is good if you know “the Cheesecake way” and you’re in the right location (I worked at the Sawgrass location and brought home on average $150 a night). Room for growth within the company! I started as a server and was promoted to bartender with no bartending experience within a year and a half. If you do your job well and show commitment, they WILL recognize you. If you like change and a challenging job, this is the job for you! New menu roll outs happen every six months. Corporate takes items that don’t sell so much off and replaces them with new and exciting dishes.

Cons

The larger and more recognized locations (based on annual revenue) have a large amount of servers (52 at my location). Off season can be rough, as management cannot favor veterans. This means you don’t get the 5 shifts a week that you’re used to, resulting in a decrease of weekly and monthly income. Management has the revolving door effect. They transfer managers from one location to another for internal reasons (promotions, issues at another location, etc.). Typically, one or two managers out of five or six go within the year. Each manager is assigned to a specific work group (servers, bar, bakery, etc) and managers switch work groups every six months. If a manager doesn’t favor you, good luck because your designated manager makes your schedule. This wasn’t a con for me, but it certainly was for others.
