Pros
Bright, passionate people all working toward shared goals. The positive energy is palpable. High value is placed on building authentic relationships with inner and outer department teammates. Highly, highly social workplace. Which is great for a lot of people but not for everyone. If you are worker bee that prefers to plop down at a computer and plug in the headphones, this is not the organization for you. Expect interruptions, expect not to check off all the items on your daily to do list but know that you will have be challenged to give all of yourself everyday. And it's worth it! Tremendous opportunities for growth.
Cons
Work/life balance can be a challenge depending on the department. What makes this not completely a 'con' is that you become friends with most everyone you work with. So often, it doesn't feel like work at all and I mean that honestly. When you are truly passionate about the work you do and who you are doing it alongside - it makes it a lot easier to strike that balance.
