Pros
Coworkers and doctors/ providers work hard and care about patients
Cons
Present CEO and leadership tactics placing employees in uncomfortable work environments; they have engaged in intentional misrepresentation of information to staff and patients about system decisions and practices CEO and leadership has intentionally misrepresented information to patients about doctors leaving the healthcare system I have worked in and with this healthcare system for 20 plus years most recently for last 10 years in cardiology Used to be proud to be a part of this system but no longer. I no longer sleep well because of my workplace. System CEO Dr. Andrabi and his new leadership team has created emphasis and recognition on how many patients you can see in a day without any regard for the negative impact on quality of patient care or work life balance of staff Metrics were created for our division by leadership that potentially placed pt safety at risk Leadership states they deliver messages of transparency when what they do is to tell the given audience a version of true things but with so much detail missing their message is deceiptful- this is ultimately self serving and without regard for appropriate ethical conduct towards patients staff and providers For APC’s- they recently changed pay structure with adding in pay incentives that are in no way achievable particularly for specialities, when this was brought forward to leader ship they acknowledged this - the pay change went into place anyway Also altered PTO practices to limit how much one can accrue, as well as how vacation hours would need to be applied to cover sick time ultimately limiting a persons ability to truly have vacation Thedacare pays avg pay to start with bonuses have been given to staffing areas that have been harder to fill without recognizing existing areas and staff with similar duties - created hard feeling of inequity Work environment is caustic with fear of retribution Leadership is bringing in Locums to cover provider vacancies in ortho and cardiology telling patients that they have a “ world class team” never telling the patients upfront this is what they have done Our cardiology office of doctors, NP’s, PA’s, nurses MA diagnostic staff customer service staff etc all leaving system to become independent - I believe this speaks volumes Thedacare’s senior leadership and middle management message has been tell us as transitioning employees that they intend to “ bury us” instead of trying to create plans to work cooperatively to take care of the patients in way they deserve I can not recommend Thedacare as a place to work I am saddened at the changes that have taken place
