The senior leadership is hugely disconnected from what happens and what is needed to run a successful, connected team. So lost in their failing corporate go-to-market plan and how to execute it, they don't even realize that if they just practiced what they preached and made good use of their own product, they might just come up with a viable solution to many of ThoughtExchange's problems. ThoughtExchange is also very disconnected from their own product and all it promotes to their clients its scary. Most department heads don't use the product themselves, and when the senior team does pop their heads out to address a significant issue, there magically never seems to be enough time left in meetings to address the real problems and concerns. Only false promises that they will get back to the team at a later date. The CEO has a politician's knack for changing the subject or over-communicating what has been said to distract from actually addressing the real issues. He and the C-Suit leaders are highly skilled at reframing obvious problematic issues to fit their narrative and therefore not taking responsibility for the current state of the culture. "It's just the great resignation, and it's happening everywhere." "This many people quitting is actually a good thing. Now we can just hire people who will do what we tell them to do, I'm tired of everyone's opinions and feelings."
The universal feeling is that instead of truly focusing on making TE a great company and product again, it's now just a race to get the evaluation up enough to sell the company so that they don't have to deal with the mess.
