Pros

Incredible Mission Strong Management Diverse, talented individuals

Cons

I love working at Thrive. There's definitely a lot of room for growth, but only if you work hard and stand out, which is expected. Recently we've had a decrease in the quality of individuals we hire which in turn reflects negatively on our department as a whole. Member Services is also moving to a different location, which worries me because MS is already divided from the rest of the company.. Now what? As we continue to grow, more and more rules and expectations are coming into play and a lot of individuals aren't happy with it. So why the negative reviews? Because people are so used to freedom, that now since they have to be on their top game, they aren't happy. Well, that's just how things are. Also, the entire company likes to hire internally first so there's definitely room to grow and apply within another department if you've been with your current role for a certain amount of time. The CEO's are also very involved in their company. Overall I've loved working here and have seen the company grow tremendously since I've been here. Thrive is a great place to work - my only wish is to continue hiring for the quality - not just because you need more individuals. In order to keep our culture alive and thriving, we must not start looking at the bottom of the trenches and hiring any inexperienced person off the street. It definitely shows and hopefully the bad apples leave soon.

Cons

Don't be fooled by the positive reviews posted by the Members Services Supervisors. It's very apparent they were asked to write positive reviews for the most asinine department out of the whole company. Actually, the department isn't asinine but the people leading the department are. There's a lack of professionalism from upper management. You are literally being watched like children and then if you get out of line for going to the bathroom or getting water, it's recorded in an observation log --this is micromanagement on a completely different level. Supervisors are literally told to watch their teams for behavior issues. Instead of focusing on business issues, employee behavioral issues are the priories because uppermangement doesn't have a clue what they are doing. It really just seems like they are out to get you. Any suggestions or complaints are fallen on deaf ears. Members services isn't treated as if it's a part of Thrive. Company events? Don't even think about attending. They take away all of these privileges but expect the department to do "mandatory" overtime --which is against labor laws. Overtime is never mandatory, it's voluntary. If you're going to take, you also need to give. Taking time off? You have to fight tooth and nail for it even if you ask weeks, sometimes months in advance. Why give us vacation time of we're not allowed to use it? Need to take time off during "blackout dates?" Expect to be giving points and written up. Sick? Points and spoken to. Unexpected emergency? Points. Completely ridiculous and such a joke. Absolutely no room for growth. Why hire outsiders when there is so much talent within the company? Due to this department, Thrive Market is losing smart and talented people who could make a real difference in the future of the company. Really unfortunate because the mission of this company is great and has so much potential.
