Sinking ship with unclear direction

Pros

-unlimited PTO -have met some great coworkers during my time here -lots of learning opportunities

Cons

-Lack of transparency from leadership, with disingenuous addresses to the company as a whole. We keep getting told what a "great" and "special" place it is to work, but the more that's being said, the less it's actually true. -Two rounds of layoffs in 6 months, remaining employees taking on many more clients and heavier workloads, while pay raises and promotions have remained frozen for the past year. -Constantly moving goalpost for promotions. Company actively seems to not want to promote employees because they can't afford it. Managers are intentionally vague/withholding info regarding promotions, leading to frustration and lack of care and motivation from employees. -C-suite has suggested employees continue to upsell clients or even reach out online to pull in new business. Expecting this in addition to over-allocated workloads due to the layoffs is tone deaf, unrealistic, and shows that the C suite is not in touch with the day-to-day employees that are keeping your clients happy.

Lost its way

Pros

- Solid benefits - You will work with genuinely great people - Generally good WFH culture - Some clients are fun to work with

Cons

Tinuiti has lost its way. The company is hemorrhaging talent as senior employees are realizing they can make significantly more elsewhere and are jumping ship. Everyone is completely spread thin and is overworked as a result. Unlimited PTO is a joke. Sure, you can take unlimited time off... provided you give at least a month notice, train people up on your accounts, work ahead as far as possible, and are OK with the possibility that when you come back from vacation you will be putting out fires caused by the overworked person covering your accounts. Management is inconsistent and generally exists only to come up with new processes to make things more "efficient" (re: finding ways to extract more work onto employees). Training is essentially non-existent and client documentation is extremely poor. You'll be thrown onto a client and will be expected to pick everything up in a few days. There is very little growth - client-facing employees will almost always hit a ceiling of where they can advance to. Management recently "updated" job descriptions across the board to give junior employees more senior responsibilities, of course while maintaining their junior-level pay. If you are client-facing, you will work late nights, weekends, and holidays. That would be manageable if the compensation was competitive, but it's not. Everyone I know who has left in the past few months has gone on to work in-house doing pretty much the same job while making 50% more.

Thank you for your feedback - it is appreciated and is something we take seriously. We are actively working with our teams to identify ways we can continue to support them, such as, bringing in additional staff and encouraging employees to balance their work and time off. It appears from your experience that we have some room for growth in this area, but will continue our efforts. We also are focused on ensuring our compensation structure remains competitive across all levels. Lastly, training is a top priority for us as we continue to grow and bring on new team members and develop our existing employee base. We appreciate you sharing your perspective and will use it to improve in the future.

Pros

- Unlimited PTO & fully remote - Big name clients that can help you learn new skills/add to your resume - Recharge weeks - Most people are great to work with and super friendly

Cons

- Unrealistic workloads: As a Senior Manager, I was responsible for managing 10 clients in addition to a team of 10 people. I consistently shared with my leadership team how burnt out I was and that I needed help, and I was consistently told this is the new structure and that there are staffing constraints so no changes can be made - Public awards are simply for PR, employees rarely hear about these - Product team demos new products to clients without informing or training employees first, and then we are left to scramble when clients have questions - Horrible health insurance - Exec team that is out of touch and performs layoffs every quarter, but has hired about 3 new execs this year with a salary of $350k+ - Upset clients that threaten to leave due to severe staffing issues and turnover, while middle management has very little to no support from senior leadership
