Pros

Working with a family, everyone is willing to help eachother and work together (when you work with a family you play with a family, have the opportunity to build really great relationships with higher management - can earn yearly sales trips) You get out of your job what you put in, if you work hard you reap the rewards in all aspects Even through the rough economic times they continue to do what they can for employees, including major corporate management pay cuts so that everyone else doesn't have to suffer quite as bad Very good benefits package, vacation time is just fine (everyone has been hurting from this economic downturn - look at some of the dates of those comments, things had to be cut to save jobs) Company based on strong goals and values that everyone can appreciate and should be happy to work for Over 100 offices in over 30 states CEO built himself from the bottom up, he worked hard based off of a love for construction and first hand work experience

Cons

Higher management is dominated by males (industry) Large company with locations all over the country but run by small amount of upper management, at one corporate location, can lead to things going on that the people in charge don't find out about till it's too late (bad lower management, unfair treatment of employees, etc) your going to get this anywhere though...

Pros

The best part about being a field rep is you are finding employment for people that really need it. The freedom that you have once you become an established rep is great. I have made some great money and friendships as a Tradesmen sales rep.

Cons

The auto allowance is only $300 per month and you have to have 800 billable hours a month to qualify for it. Even if you are a seasoned rep that has make the company millions. The seasoned rep should be grandfathered in when you reach a certain time with the company or dollar amount. I love my job but there is a lot of corporate BS that comes with it and o yeah the cell phone allowance is ok once you get it but getting it isn't easy and you cant do your job without it. Tradesmen calls them self a labor expert when they don't they don't know how to retain there own employees.
