Pros

You get paid based upon what you bring to the table. If you're aggressive...work hard, you can make good money. While it takes time to establish a territory (which makes it financially challenging), once you do, you're set. Again, work hard and there's no cap. Very good training. Excellent marketing tools and strategy. Good field office structure / management.

Cons

Cell phone allowance and car expenses not bad, but not great. No CRM tool yet. Have to use own laptop.

Pros

Autonomy Competitive Atmosphere Very Sales Driven Enviornment Paid for your efforts in success (in the past)

Cons

Disconnected Senior Leadership Favoritism (If the boss is your drinking buddy you will be fine and promoted regardless of effort and results) Lack of Investment in Employees Senior Leadership Attitude that you are lucky to work for them Company Has Lost It's Way (Has moved away from founding principles) Has Allowed Itself to Move Into A Transactional Selling Cycle Many of the people who helped build the company (industry experts) have now left due to pay decreases over the past few years which has left the company with marginally successful employees managing offices and regions.

Do not work for Tradesmen

Pros

Wide variety of jobs and a lot of travel

Cons

Management shows favoritism. Makes up excuses to get rid of you and refuses to give work based on false information with no grounds for refusal. Travel is at your own expense. Often the job is so far away the whole pay check goes into the gas tank
