Pros

Good hours. Paid holidays. No weekends.

Cons

Whew. There’s ALOT. Training was rushed. We were not properly prepared and they coach you on every little thing. TERRIBLE talking process for the customers. Hard to explain unreasonable billing issues. Outdated customer service approach. System could be faster. MONDAYS ARE TERRIBLE. Be prepared to be cursed at yelled at insulted for 8 hours every Monday. Honestly the worse job I’ve had and that’s very hard for me to say. Duke energy is not a good employer to work for. They don’t care about their agents more of the customer. You get flagged for surveys even if you do your job the best. You don’t get a pat on the back even. You get coached and threatened termination until it’s fixed. Oh and the offers thing, ridiculous. You have to offer these enrollments even if their power is off. Which makes 0 sense if they couldn’t pay the bill without the extra money why would they want to add anything extra? Yikes I can see it going downhill in a few years.

Pros

The pay was great! Their were a lot of great people that worked there. And training for the most part was extensive.

Cons

Poor upper management Played favorites Didn't really track any of the team leaders well which is why they ended up letting go of one for illegal activity. From what I understand one some of upper management is gone but very pretentious and belittling. They would talk down to you like you were unintelligent. Dont lie to your employers faces. When the CEO came in to talk to us, he told us many things that never came to fruition. He talked about job security and that people had nothing to worry about then they starting cutting jobs afterwards.

Pros

If you have an existing set of clients and have other sources of income, Transworld would be an ok tool to add to you services.

Cons

If you have never sold before, stay away. There is no support for a CRM (you must provide), a script that no one uses to sell and 'sales advice' that is make more calls. Further, if you do get the attention of a larger company, the VP assigned to these prospects is so far over his head, it would be better to not have his help. It will always be your fault. Recently, a re-organization has occurred. Although this might be helpful from a functional standpoint, the very people were retained that let the organization fail in the first place. There is very limited social media presence. Transworld has been in my local market for over 30 years and yet prospects still have no clue as to our services. And for dentists and physicians, several previous reps were in there and they probably had a very poorly produced flyer that has done brand damage. There is little you will be able to do to overcome that. This is far from a professional sales organization where professionals work. The majority of training is to make sure that you understand to wake up early and do 8 hours of work. There is no system for selling and unless you are selling, there are no leads distributed to you. Transworld knows what the objections are to buying their services, but they do not know why a prospect buys other than to push their 'pain buttons'. This means they have no idea as to what their marketing program should be. They have no headline so they are not able to drive want or challenge a status-quo.
