WELL, where to begin...my PEO was acquired by Trinet at the same time they acquired 2 other PEO's in their pursuit to go public. Status quo for a while and then, well...drastic change, putting people in positions that didn't meet skill set, nor college education or certifications. Trinet didn't care, they just had spots to fill and didn't care how they emotionally and mentally affected their employees...(When you are hired as an HR Consultant at one company then after 12 years your company is acquired by Trinet and told things would stay the same...we knew deep down Trinet's words couldn't but trusted and that eventually we would not be respected, nor would our backgrounds, education, HR certifications even though we were told OVER and OVER that we would be kept in the same position. To appease us, Trinet kept things fairly Status quo for a few years as they needed us to keep working with the clients they acquired so they didn't look elsewhere. Trinet put our clients through a HORRIBLE migration to Trinet's platform and they refused to have any flexibility nor really care about how we nor the clients and their employees felt. A few years ago they hired a new VP to supposedly come in to make GREAT, NEW changes to how we serviced clients. We were told to select the position we felt best for us, so as an HR Professional, I and others in similar roles/ backgrounds, experience, schooling, HR certifications, select the HR position, WELL, instead of matching employees to their background, education, certifications, they just put people in positions just to fill open slots. This was mentally demeaning, but no one cared. During this process, my manager said "you will definitely get the HR position based on your years of experience, background, certifications, etc." I trusted her and so did 4 other colleagues on her team. No, trinet upper mgt just put people in open positions instead of matching their experience, education, and certifications to the appropriate positions. Many of us with the high level of HR and PEO backgrounds/experience were placed in ENTRY level customer service positions. We were not able to use our education and certifications nor were we respected. We were now stuck in entry level micromanaged positions. It was so shocking...we saw several leave and just throw in the towel. I didn't at first as I was told it would be okay and advancement would occur...well there were never open HR opportunities and when there were, my manager looked into it and was always told I couldn't be remote. Seriously the company always encouraged recruiting employees who were in areas where there were no offices so of course this led to no true opportunities for those of us who were remote as a result of a Trinet acquisition and I saw this happen to not only me, but to other colleagues who became part of the trinet team as the result of an acquisition. Plain and simple, Trinet didn't care, we were all just pawns on a chess board who were never respected. TOO bad, Trinet could be a well respected PEO...
