Pros

Good pay, good benefits, nice people.

Cons

Training is non-existent in the role I fulfill and means learning by trial and error. From Data File Processor, there isn't an easy route into the ranks of the rest of the company, and the team is not included in much of the office activities. I think it has to do with the early hours--we leave earlier than the rest of the office, and some emails get sent out after we are already gone and we miss things that we might've needed to know for the next day. If your files do not get out by the end of your shift, you stay until they do. Few people on the team take lunchbreak and are resented by others on the team if they do.

Pros

The pay and benefits at Trintech were once great. But cost cutting has taken its toll on overall compensation.

Cons

Nearly the entire engineering staff has been laid off and the work has been outsourced to the Ukraine and India. What was once a great engineering department has been decimated by current management. Management has no clue how to run an engineering organization. Timelines are set arbitrarily and death marches are now a way of life for what remains of the onshore engineering staff. Job security is non-existent. Beware!

Pros

- Sometimes they have work events that are nice

Cons

- Work life balance is non-existent. They have a motto of "work hard play hard", but that second part never really materializes - Pay is well below market value even after they increased pay to try and remain competitive - Bad benefits - They are a Vista company. This means there is a very good chance that they will be sold off within the year and a large portion of the company will be laid off - Management is very much an "old boys club" where some management is not held accountable for their mistakes until they've already run off good people. - They have "career growth programs" that for the vast majority of people go nowhere. - You will end up wearing many hats and end up doing work that is no where close to what you were hired for. You will not be compensated for this additional work.

First of all, we want to express that we are sorry that your experience within the company was perceived as being negative. And we do want to thank you for your feedback, as it helps us to know the feelings that are not being properly addressed. We strive to make the organization an inclusive environment where every employee feels that they can openly voice concerns and have them appropriately addressed, but unfortunately, it sounds like this may not have been what you experienced. Many of the items mentioned could be due to the long-lasting challenges that have been caused by the pandemic, and how work has changed for all companies because of it. For existing employees who may read this, please know that we hope you will feel comfortable reaching out to Human Resources if you feel that your concerns are not being addressed within your workgroup. Only by openly working together to overcome the challenges, can we make improvements. For prospective employees who may be reading this, please know that we are actively working to overcome the challenges that the pandemic has caused. Through the use of surveys and focus-groups, we are better understanding the cultural aspects that are influencing the employee experience. And through new leadership development programs we are increasing the capabilities of all people within the company so we can work better together, to create a more inclusive environment where all employees feel respected and valued.
