Pros

Ridiculously generous time off programs, retirement (who has a pension anymore), and the employees more often than not are really passionate about the work they do.

Cons

New CEO seems to have 0 interest in the operations of the medical center, lots of new c-level executives, so not sure the direction of the organization. Silly politics with campus and within the UC system. Too much union presence is disruptive and costly to the organization, what hospital can afford to give 6%+ annual raises?! Accountability is spotty, depending on department.

Pros

Pay and benefits are good.

Cons

Management styles have changed. New management laid off many long term employees, and replaced them with contractors. They seem to only care about the bottom line. Middle management is overloaded and powerless, C-Suite is out of touch, and general morale is bad.
