Pros

Benefits start day one, the pay is decent, and they have covered parking.

Cons

They will tell you that member satisfaction is top priority but they are really all about sales. Facilitating member financial security is their slogan but that is simply not true when they want you to sell things that aren't needed and that the member can't afford. There are no advancement opportunities unless you are part of the "club". They do not hire from within. It's impossible to apply for an open job in a different area. They make you quit, wait 6 months, and re-apply.

Pros

Great benefits, good coworkers, amazing purpose.

Cons

Recruiters lie to you. One hired, leadership lies to you. You are ruled by fear of losing your job, and they change the processes and responsibilities almost daily. One hand doesn't know what the other hand is doing. Being good at your job, means doing everyone else's job. Unrealistic expectations. Pay does not match responsibility. At one point, we were treated as an asset, now we are treated as a burden in their workforce.

Pros

Competitive pay. Good benefits. Inspiring mission. When you get someone on the phone from a support perspective, they are amazing.

Cons

Good, healthy accountability often lacking. Quality of leadership behaviors inconsistent. Some very good but also observed some of the most toxic leadership behavior I have ever seen (insulting comments, public shaming, etc.) from a leader who faced no consequences. Organization operated in siloes and functioned mostly on tribal knowledge. If your team needed help from another team not in your immediate area, good luck, because leadership across areas often didn't talk to each other or plan/prioritize together. Processes and practices often outdated, broken or not performing at the level needed. Standard metrics sometimes not used (or even enabled). Ability to find key information to do your job or locate who you need to talk to about something almost impossible to find in some cases. Majority of administrative processes I interacted with were error-prone or difficult to navigate.
