Pros

I've worked for many companies in my career and they all have their problems. The companies that I have enjoyed working for are the ones that don't ignore problems and confront challenges and work to continually improve. UserTesting is one company that keeps an open mind and aims to improve. Its in its DNA. I have been impressed with the high standards that are placed on how we treat customers. We don't tolerate negative speaking about our customers. Engineering, where I work, is always experimenting with ways to improve and get better. The product and engineering teams are full of smart people who care deeply about the direction of the company and its customers. The employee retention here is great! I believe it is mostly due to the value placed on listening and addressing challenges and pursuing opportunities. People are valued here. Because of the growth of UserTesting, opportunities for personal and career growth are abundant.

Cons

Due to the growth that UserTesting has and continues to go through there are many unique challenges. New teams are forming and although there is team structure and organization, teams own a lot of areas of the product. It feels like a smaller startup in the sense that a lot of expected from individuals and there is way to much work to do. It can be overwhelming at times. As we grow and hire a lot of younger college graduates in other departments a lot of focus has been on providing benefits and perks that appeal to them. This can sometimes detract from core motivators (IMO). In other words, I am not motivated by them. I am personally fulfilled by accomplishment and being part of a world-class team. I have worried that others who share my opinion may be turned off.

Pros

This is a place made up of nice people. Everyone I've meet here has gone above and beyond to make me feel welcomed. They provide strong work benefits (health packages, snacks, etc.). There is a focus on professional development and becoming better at what you do and becoming who you're supposed to be professionally.

Cons

Work life balance can be difficult at times. Growing a lot right now so it can be difficult to have that connected feel.
