Great start for your career

Pros

Work from home is an option No micromanaging Free food twice a week Good benefits Nice people to work with Great place to for your first job out of college

Cons

Too much change, too fast with little or no vision. Execs seem lost when it comes to operations. Company grew too fast. Seems like all managers are managing for the first time. Promotes from within at times of turbulent change that may not be the right fit for a position. Pay is well below industry standard. Product needs a lot of work to keep up with changing technology. Needs to be more innovation from all within the company.

I’m glad to hear that you were able to find a lot of pros while working with UserTesting, but I’d love to take time to address the cons that you mentioned. I agree that we have been growing very fast, and with that growth has come some growing pains. We do have a bold vision for the role UserTesting plays in creating great user experiences, along with a well-planned strategy for how to achieve our vision. Over the last few months, we’ve have made significant efforts to proactively share our vision and strategy with our employees. While it’s hard to put the right person in the right position every time, we’re committed to promoting from within, if and when possible. UserTesting prides itself on being a place where our employees can grow their careers, and something we actively take steps to ensure we continue to do. We’ll continue to balance promoting from within with the need to make key outside hires. In regards to pay, we evaluate the compensation of our employees annually and we are committed to pay in line with the market. Over the past years, we have made constant adjustments to our employees’ pay to recognize the increasing skill level our employees attain as they work at UserTesting. Regarding your point about our Product Team, this is a big year, and we plan to release double the number of new features as last year! Regarding diversity within the company - UserTesting is actively committed to increasing the diversity of our workforce. Our Talent team proactively seeks out candidates with diverse profiles for every one of our open positions, and we make particular efforts to attain a diverse group of students for our internship program. Our employee communities make a significant effort to increase the awareness and support for employees of all backgrounds, and we heartily welcome referrals and applicants for our open positions that will help increase our diversity. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts. We take the feedback provided on Glassdoor, as well as our quarterly engagement surveys very seriously. Our executive and leadership teams review the feedback provided, take action, and evaluate our results on an ongoing basis. Pros

• High pay for an SDR • pool table • great product, not difficult to sell • two fridges and a pantry full of food, management often buys us beer

Cons

There's the occasional bad apple or two at this company — but they get rooted out in due time.

Pros

-positive culture -lots of the usual Silicon Valley bells and whistles (massages, food, ping pong) - lots of attempts to listen to feedback (via a lot of internal surveys) -benefits are competitive (low base salary however)

Cons

-most of management at the mid-level has no experience in management and it shows -low salary -poor communication from management to lower ranks = equals a lot of ambiguity on basics like "what do we do?" "what services do we offer?" "how much does it cost?" -low moral since a slew of layoffs earlier in the year. -Very high rate of employee turnover, lots of hiring, lots of firing as well.Would not recommend applying here as they don't seem to have a grasp of their hiring needs, lots of questions around job stability
