Pros

Great benefits, coworkers and exciting company that cares about its employees and those they serve.

Cons

Salary for attorneys is lower than other companies, however, the benefits and environment/quality of life make up for it.

Pros

Great place to grow your career and really learn enterprise development at scale. The teams are usually filled with great people always willing to help, with only a few egotists found around the company. Some projects use modern technology and are pretty exciting to work on, though you'll be exposed to a lot of legacy systems that suffer from years of tech debt. Had a lot of great experiences working on interesting projects. Tech weeks and activities are fun, office space is open and great.

Cons

Management can be a hindrance to the development process at times. Pressure for stakeholders can sometimes drive long hours and rushed products out the door in unreasonable time tables. Salaries are a little lower than industry standards.

Pros

Free parking, and the buildings are nice.

Cons

Over time, VSP went from one of the best places to work in the region to a toxic, dysfunctional mess. Instead of working, employees at all levels (including management) are engaged in backstabbing, infighting, and scapegoating and it is because the company underwent a growth spurt through acquisitions that landed them with several business units that consistently underperform . At the same time, the company changed CEOs not once...not twice...but three times. Everyone, and I mean everyone, is looking for someone to blame so they don't get re-org'd or eliminated. Many are older workers from the good old days so they would have trouble replacing their salaries in the open market, so they too have to play the finger-pointing game to maintain their lifestyles. Morale is therefore awful and bullying is rampant.
