Pros

Excellent World Class Physicians and medical care. Pride in knowing you help make a true difference in peoples lives. Previously long term employment and a great culture. People use to be valued and not treated as disposable.

Cons

Cornelius Vanderbilt's robber baron tradition lives on. "In extending the title of robber baron to these men, we emphasize the cruel and self-centered entrepreneurs who took advantage of the worker to accumulate wealth. The factory was a place where the worker experienced harsh conditions and poor pay." The Executive Level uses the sequestration as an excuse to robber baron the common man. When re-designing work flows, they create more $100, 000+ jobs to reward cronies while withholding pay increases and reducing benefits for the common man. They have developed a mentality of "is it legal?" as opposed to is it "moral and ethical".

They will lie to you

Pros

You get to pay to park! Your other choice is to walk about 2 miles to your car or park nearby and have your car booted! So you can work for below market salary! But the education benefit is so good...if you don't get 'laid off' before you get to use it!

Cons

Poor leadership; some supervisors actually PROMOTE problem employees to get them out of their area (Linda, I'm looking at you!). They will lie to you and twist words so you will stay with no salary increases for YEARS! (Hang in there; we are a family; hard times will pass! We will take care of you!) Then they bring in the axe man and you are gone....but hang in there! There will be jobs for you! The best part of it all is that they didn't include HR in at least some of the layoffs. Ridiculous!
