Pros

-Great Coworkers -Very Competitive Salary -Your work will help those in need -Awesome Benefits -Many positions have remote work options -No pre-employment drug screening ;-) It has to look good on paper, or they'd never trick you into working for them.

Cons

-Budget is highly dependent on State -Business operates entirely on tax dollars and we all know taxation is theft ;-) -Management will pass along blame to you even if you're not in the wrong and even if you prove it The official reason for my termination was my boss thought my current project was taking too long. With no deadlines missed and no timeline in place... Obviously this is a highly subjective and abstract concept. Not to mention I had completed several projects in a satisfactory time frame, at several points even receiving compliments on how quickly I had finished them.

Pros

There aren't many anymore. They used to be very focused on client care; the focus now has changed to survival.

Cons

Executives have their hands in every minutiae, do not trust employees to do their jobs, and do not listen to the experts they hired. SEVERE budget cuts were necessary because of overspending during a larger merger and since then, money management has been performed through RIFs and staff reductions. The CEO at the bottom of this page is no longer the CEO and was replaced a couple years back by an internal attorney known for creating substantial bottlenecks in organizational functioning.

Pros

The benefits seemed decent. It is totally remote, but that's not always a PRO.

Cons

I agree with the other reviews about the toxic workplace at Vaya. Here is my experience. My first week we had a virtual department meeting so everyone could introduce themselves. My intro was basic, Where I had worked before, what I did there and how long I had at been at Vaya (5 days). When the intros got to one of the more senior people, they mocked me in a bulling way. After that I was done at Vaya already! I quit about 2 weeks later, NO NOTICE needed. I did not say anything to HR because I found out this individual had been there so long that they were a vital part, and you know how those people can get away with anything.
