Pros

Remote work is the only pro.

Cons

I worked at this organization for over 10 years. It used to be a wonderful place to work, but over the past 5 years they have grown too much too fast. Their new CEO is a bully and misleads the staff. They have put the wrong people in executive leadership positions and are not ready for Medicaid Transformation in NC. This translates to a huge amount of stress and more work than possible being put on line staff. Employee turnover is extremely high and the good employees at the highest levels are finding work elsewhere and resigning. They also had a mass lay-off in December and terminated many very experienced, tenured staff. Bottom line is that line level staff are stressed to the max and worried about their job security. Much of the experienced staff who have led this company through mergers, legislative changes, and processing system changes have either resigned or been terminated leaving inexperienced and over-worked staff to make major decisions and train workers.

Pros

Work from home and department colleagues

Cons

Everything written in reviews about the CEO is true. The new CEO is an evil bully. People are afraid of her so good work is stalled and corruption breeds. Her direct reports are puppets to her abuse and those most loyal to her win (with promotions, etc.). Anyone who stands up to her is abused. It's a disgrace what is happening to what was once a decent LME/MCO. A waste of tax payer dollars. Shame on the Board of Directors for voting her in and letting this happen.

Pros

Working from home is a great pro. That all I have to add!

Cons

Let’s begin with the CEO that comes across as a bully who has no interest in building a culture at Vaya. I’ve gone through the “Playbook” from front to back and can name every behavioral standard that she violates and goes against. Passionate: No the CEO is unauthentic in every way, Honesty: violates that on every level. Her lack of integrity has poisoned the culture of Vaya. She is a mean malicious person who will tear you down behind close doors and smile in the face of others as if she has done no wrong. I’ve been with Vaya for 3 years and I could not say that this is a great place to work. The CEO is a bully at best who significantly lacks morals, values and ethics. Vaya is going to fall. The Executive Leadership Team and the Board praise this woman and have no idea how malicious she really is at her core. She is a horrible leader! I have did not receive one raise the entire time I was there. Hence my reason for leaving.
