Vaya Health reviews

I started with Vaya in an administrative support role about 6 years ago; now I serve as one of the Chiefs of Staff for the organization. While I have been with Vaya I have watched/experienced a tremendous amount of change and growth. Vaya is a government entity, and for Vaya that means: changes at the NC General Assembly level trickle down and impact the communities we serve, and how we serve them. I have watched Vaya's leadership evolve in order to survive and thrive, in response to/ and ahead of, the demands of the industry, while maintaining a prioritized focus on a healthy employee culture. The Board of Directors is highly engaged and works closely with executive leadership to ensure stability for the organization, and relevancy in the industry. With a new executive level leader responsible for Human Resources, internal customer service has dramatically improved - with a focus around what is best for Vaya as an organization, and all employees across the organization. At the core of Vaya is servant leadership, coupled with intentional fiscal accountability; remembering Vaya exists to serve local communities in North Carolina, and is responsible for ethical and mindful management of public funds.

This requires vision and the ability to adapt in an ever changing environment. Effecting change is not easy. Structural and departmental changes have been welcomed and were clearly needed. Stagnant, ineffective and frankly toxic managers have departed. Tracy Hayes, CEO, is an incredible leader. I am thrilled to work for and with such a talented and knowledgeable person. I am just administrative support, but I know I am valued. Vaya is a wonderful organization.
