Pros

The only pros left are the people. There are some brilliant people still stuck at Viewpoint.

Cons

This place was amazing. Emphasis on WAS. Knowledge sharing and work life balance were king. I honestly planned on retiring at this company. Then Bain Capital took over and since then everything has been beyond bad. Just when employees would think it had gotten as bad as it could get, a new low would be introduced. It is hard to convey how bad it got before I left. I have never worked in a place where everyone I came in contact with was actively looking for another job and being honestly pretty vocal about it. To set some examples of the new changes: - Every perk or pro of working at Viewpoint went away. - Micromanagement became the new king. -ALL of HR quit or has been fired within the last few months. -2 current active lawsuits against them for unscrupulous activities (just look at the Oregonlive site or Portland Business Journal for details). - Layoffs of many employees a few months back (This was also published in the local news outlets). - Culture has been decimated.

Pros

I liked that they offered a healthy per diem amount for travel. It was an incentive to spend less and keep the leftover funds.

Cons

Management's sole purpose was to drive revenue, with no regard to any type of work/life balance for the employee, or even proper service to the client. Evening and weekend work was expected and no credit given. Commission structure was often modified, with the end result being you have to dedicate yourself to billable hours to make any type of commission. I felt this came at the expense of both employees and clients. People should only consider this role if you're okay with having your primary focus being work.

Pros

Not too many too list.

Cons

Leadership keeps changing direction and pointing fingers. Products are lagging and they feel some cosmetic changes will be the answer. They can't seem to keep the ship on course and are always changing course. No direction and that all starts at the top. This ship is sinking fast
